A Day in the Life of Salem
Well, I know you’re dying to know how I spend my day, so here you go. Loren will be posting his shortly.
6:00 a.m. – Loren’s watch alarm goes off. He pushes snooze.
6:05 a.m. – Loren’s phone alarm goes off. If I’m awake enough, I get up. Otherwise I fall back asleep.
6:10 a.m. – My phone alarm goes off. I face reality and get up. Then I bug Loren until he gets up too. I get ready for school and eat some breakfast. If I have time, I watch The Early Show. I miss The Today Show a lot.
6:45 a.m. – I walk outside, try not to set off the landlord’s car alarm, and wait for the bus. Sometime between 6:45 and 7:05, the bus pulls up.
7:45 a.m. – We make it to school. I walk to the classroom, get questions from the kids’ parents, and try to get my students to speak some English.
8:00 – 9:20 a.m. – English class (with some specials sprinkled in).
9:20 a.m. – Snack time and recess!!!
9:55-10:50 a.m. – More English class
10:50 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. – We switch classes and have more English with the new class.
12:10 – 12:45 p.m. – Snack time and recess part two!!!
12:45 – 1:45 p.m. – More English class.
1:45 p.m. – I walk my cute kiddos to their buses. If it’s Thursday I walk my cute kiddos to Petit Chef class and we cook for an hour.
2:45 p.m. – I get home and sit on the couch for a few hours trying to get some energy.
After school Loren goes to tutor his students. Then we eat dinner, watch tv, go online, talk, and go to sleep. We have pretty boring lives. But tomorrow is Saturday. Grocery/market day!
On another note, I was randomly searching online and found a great place that Loren and I are going to visit one weekend! It’s called Earth Lodge and it’s supposed to be one of the few safe places around town to go camping in a tent. They also have cabins and a treehouse that you can stay in. Look how cool!
