1/16/11 – Salem

I’m really starting to like Sundays. It’s our dia libre (free day) and we don’t have to be home for any meals, so we wander around Antigua and we get to eat what we want, which if you know me is a big deal. We went to a restaurant called Caffe Bourbon today. It is decorated with pictures of jazz singers, has leather chairs, and flowers on every table. The food was just ok, but the decorations were great. I wonder where we’re going to have dinner.

Today is also the last day before student teaching really starts. I’m a little nervous, but mostly because I’m scared I’m going to miss the bus! This week is going to be more of me observing, so it won’t be too bad. And then on Friday we get to move! I CAN’T WAIT!

So that’s it for today. Expect some info about the first day tomorrow (or maybe Friday).

  1. Glad things are going so well for the 2 of you. Enjoy all the free days you have because you won’t have many in life. There is always something to do. Enjoy and LOVE. Love you, Aunt Betty <<
